July 30, 2007

 

PRESENT:

 

·        Commission: Jerry Glass, Bill Starr, David Kennedy, & Nancy Trevino

 

• Staff: Gary Stuber, & Chris Fesler

 

• Guest: Heather Hiott, Bill Linthicum, & Ed Page

 

CALL TO ORDER:

Mr. Glass called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.

 

PUBLIC COMMENTS:

Mrs. Hiott expressed her concerns over the football and cheerleading team selection process.

 

Mr. Linthicum expressed his concerns regarding the inconsistency of athletic management.

 

The Commission asked Mr. Stuber to look into these concerns and report back to the Commission.

 

Meeting with the GCRC Commission & City of Goose Creek

Mr. Glass discussed the meeting that was held last Thursday with the City and County. The City will propose a new contract for the Commissioner’s review. The Commission will then have 60 days to research and decide a course of action.   

 

PUBLIC COMMENTS:

There were no public comments at this time.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

Mr. Starr made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Trevino, to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 p.m. All in favor, motion carried.

 

Next regularly scheduled monthly meeting is scheduled for August 13, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.
