Discussion was held on the pros and cons of annexing Devon Forest, Okatee and certain other areas into the Recreation District or the City of Goose Creek or not allowing them to participate here if they don’t annex in.

Mr. Stuber stated that City Council is requesting data from the Recreation Department regarding number of participants using our facilities from outside the city and district.

Mr. Glass asked the Commission to consider what their position is on this issue.  City Council will be discussing it at their strategic planning meeting in April.

Crowfield Little League

Mr. Stuber reported that he had a meeting with Mr. Ullery from Crowfield Little League about the taxes on the property they lease from Steve Vaughn on College Park Road.  They need help paying the taxes and are exploring their options.  One possibility is to expand our boundary to include that property and asking Mr. Vaughn to lease it to us.
